According to Beyond Bree, The "Beyond Bree" Award is given "In recognition of outstanding contribution to the study of J.R.R. Tolkien, from the Readers of 'Beyond Bree'". Recipients for the Award are nominated and voted by the readers of "Beyond Bree". The intent is to recognize people, especially fans, who have contributed greatly to the study of Tolkien but who might not be well known in scholarly circles. Walking Tree Publishers congratulates Seamus Hamill-Keays on this well-deserved recognition.
