22nd March 2018: Pagan Saints in Middle-earth is published
We are pleased to announce our latest publication Pagan Saints in Middle-earth by Claudio Testi.
Is Tolkien's work Christian or pagan? This question has intrigued readers and scholars ever since The Lord of the Rings has been published. Even today this important problem has not been given the full critical attention it deserves, and the present volume is an attempt to provide an answer.
The volume contains a comprehensive bibliography on the subject, detailed indices, a foreword by Verlyn Flieger, and an afterword by Tom Shippey.

J.R.R. Tolkien"s experiences in the Great War (1914-1918) can be traced in his writings, most prominently in his masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings. Much has been written concerning the impact of his time in the war on his literary work, including such significant publications as John Garth's Tolkien and the Great War (2003), Janet Brennan Croft"s War and the Works of J.R.R. Tolkien (2004) and edited collection Baptism of Fire (2015), Joseph Loconte's A Hobbit, a Wardrobe and a Great War (2015), and Margaret Hiley's The Loss and the Silence (2011).

8th October 2017: Binding Them All is published
We are pleased to announce our latest publication Binding them all: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on JRR Tolkien and His Works, edited by Monika Kirner-Ludwig, Stephan Köser and Sebastian Streitberger.
This volume "binds" a collection of selected papers that emerged from the J.R.R. Tolkien-lecture-series initiated at the University of Augsburg in 2014. Each of the papers is representative of the editors' interest in the interdisciplinary potentials of Tolkien's works and the joint venture to make his legacy visible and accessible from the viewpoint of numerous academic disciplines. Our contributors are experts as well as junior scholars from the fields of Literature and Linguistics, Geography, History, as well as Communications and Cultural Studies.
